CHAPTER 01
Quick Start
If the app is already installed, this chapter gets you from the icon to your first channel in a few minutes.
| 1 | Open Planettivi. The startup presentation appears first and includes the Planettivi identity and Julien Ropers. |
| 2 | If requested, validate your Planettivi license or start the 7-day free trial when available. |
| 3 | On IPTV Access, enter the Server address, Username and Password supplied for your subscription. |
| 4 | Select Test and save. Wait for the connection to be validated and for the home screen to load. |
| 5 | Choose LIVE, MOVIES or SERIES. Select a category, then choose the content you want to watch. |
| BEST FIRST TESTAfter setup, test one normal HD/Full HD live channel, one movie and one series episode. This confirms that both the account and playback functions are working. |
The basic navigation rule
On a television or TV box, use the directional pad to move the focus, OK/Enter to open a highlighted item, and Back to return to the previous screen. During playback, pressing a remote key brings the Planettivi player HUD back on screen.
CHAPTER 02
Supported Devices & Installation
Planettivi is an Android application distributed as an APK. Install it on a compatible Android-based device.

Install on Android TV / Google TV
| 1 | Download the Planettivi APK from the official link. |
| 2 | Open the downloaded file. If Android blocks the installation, choose Settings and allow installation from the browser or Downloader app you are using. |
| 3 | Return to the APK and select Install. |
| 4 | When installation is complete, select Open or find Planettivi under All apps. |
Install on Fire TV
| 1 | Install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore. |
| 2 | Allow Downloader to install unknown apps in Fire TV settings. |
| 3 | Enter the official Planettivi APK address in Downloader and start the download. |
| 4 | Install the APK, then open Planettivi from Your Apps & Channels. |
| DO NOT UNINSTALL FOR A ROUTINE UPDATEInstalling a newer signed Planettivi APK over the existing version normally preserves locally stored settings. Uninstalling the app can erase local data. |
CHAPTER 03
First Launch, License & Free Trial
Every launch begins with the Planettivi presentation. License checks run as part of the startup sequence.
In Planettivi 6.2.0, the app opens through the presentation screen every time you start it from the Android/TV launcher. The visual sequence includes the Planettivi identity and a prominent Julien Ropers presentation before the app continues.
When the license screen appears
| 1 | Enter the Planettivi license key exactly as it was provided. |
| 2 | Select Validate license and wait for the confirmation message. |
| 3 | If you do not have a license yet and the option is available, select FREE TRIAL • 7 DAYS. |
| 4 | After authorization, the app continues to IPTV Access or the Home screen if your IPTV connection is already stored. |
| LICENSE ≠ IPTV PASSWORDThe Planettivi license controls access to the application. Your IPTV username and password are separate credentials used only to load channels, movies and series. |
License information
The Account / License Information area can show details such as license status, expiration, remaining time, allowed devices, concurrent sessions, device information and APK-signature status. These details are useful when contacting support.
CHAPTER 04
Connect Your IPTV Service
Planettivi uses a simple three-field connection screen for the service: Server, Username and Password.

| SERVER | The full server base address supplied to you, including http:// or https:// and the port when one is provided. |
| USERNAME | The IPTV username exactly as supplied. It can be case-sensitive. |
| PASSWORD | The IPTV password exactly as supplied. It can be case-sensitive. |
| 1 | Open IPTV Access. If no profile is stored, Planettivi normally opens this screen automatically. |
| 2 | Fill in SERVER, USERNAME and PASSWORD. Do not add spaces before or after the values. |
| 3 | Select Test and save. |
| 4 | Wait while Planettivi tests the service and loads the catalog information. |
| 5 | When the connection is valid, continue to the Home screen. |
| SERVER FORMATUse only the server address requested by the app. Do not paste a long playlist URL or a /get.php address into the Server field unless Planettivi support specifically tells you to. |
If Test and save fails
Check http:// versus https://.
Check the port number if your service uses a non-standard port.
Retype the username and password rather than copying accidental spaces.
Make sure the device date and time are set automatically.
Test the Internet connection in another app before changing Planettivi settings.
CHAPTER 05
Home Screen & Navigation
The home screen is the central hub. It is designed for remote-control navigation on a television.

| RECENT | Recently watched content and quick return to what you were viewing. |
| PROFILE / ACCOUNT | License, rights and device information. |
| SETTINGS | Playback, language, EPG, thumbnails and account controls. |
| REMOTE-CONTROL TIPIf the focus seems lost, press a directional key once and wait a moment. Planettivi is optimized around the highlighted/focused item rather than touch gestures. |
CHAPTER 06
Watching Live TV
Live TV is organized by categories. Select a category, choose a channel and open it in the Planettivi player.

| 2 | Choose a channel category or group. |
| 3 | Move through the channel list with the remote control. |
| 4 | Select a channel to start playback. |
| 5 | Use Back to leave the player and return to the list. |
During live playback
The Planettivi HUD appears over the picture and then hides automatically so the video remains unobstructed.
Press a remote-control key to show the HUD again.
The active engine is shown in the player interface.
The ENGINE control is positioned at the bottom center of the player in Planettivi 6.2.0.
StreamGuard status can show CONNECTING, LIVE STABLE, BUFFERING, LOW, RECONNECTING, VLC STABLE or VLC RECOVERY.
| ONE BAD CHANNEL IS NOT A FULL-SERVICE FAILUREIf one channel freezes or does not open, test two or three other channels. A single broken source should be reported by its exact channel name and category. |
CHAPTER 07
TV Guide / EPG
The Electronic Program Guide helps you see what is on now and what comes next.
Open TV GUIDE from the main interface to browse channels with program information. Where EPG data is available, Planettivi shows NOW and NEXT program titles. If a provider does not supply guide data for a channel, the program can appear as Unavailable.
Automatic EPG
Settings includes Automatic EPG. Keep it enabled if you want guide information to refresh as part of normal app use. EPG availability ultimately depends on the data supplied by your IPTV service.
| EPG MISSING FOR ONLY A FEW CHANNELSThis is usually a source-data issue rather than an app installation problem. Check several channels before troubleshooting the whole application. |
CHAPTER 08
Movies
The Movies section provides a poster-based VOD library organized by categories.
| 1 | Select MOVIES from Home. |
| 2 | Choose a category or browse the available catalog. |
| 3 | Select a movie poster to open or play it. |
| 4 | Use the player controls as needed, then press Back to return to the movie list. |
Resume playback
When Resume Movies / Series is enabled in Settings, Planettivi can remember progress so you can continue later. Recently watched content also gives you a quick route back to items you opened before.
If a movie does not start
Try another movie to determine whether the problem is item-specific.
Use the ENGINE control to test the alternate playback engine.
If the alternate engine works, keep using it for that file or report the original playback incompatibility to support.
If every movie fails, verify the IPTV account and server connection rather than changing picture settings first.
CHAPTER 09
Series
Series are organized into titles, seasons and episodes.

| 3 | Select the season you want. |
| 4 | Choose an episode to start playback. |
| 5 | Use resume playback and Recently watched to return to an unfinished episode later. |
| EPISODE LIST EMPTYIf a series opens but no episodes are shown, leave the series, confirm the IPTV connection is still active and retry. If only that series is affected, the catalog entry may be incomplete on the service side. |
CHAPTER 10
Search, Favorites & Recently Watched
These tools make large catalogs much easier to use.
Search
Use Search to find a channel, movie or series by name. Enter a distinctive part of the title rather than a very broad word when the catalog is large.
Favorites
Add frequently used content to Favorites to build a smaller personal library. Planettivi shows a confirmation when an item is added to or removed from favorites.
Recently watched
Recently watched provides a quick route back to content you opened recently. Combined with Resume Movies / Series, it is the fastest way to continue a film or episode.
| KEEP THE LIBRARY RESPONSIVEIf the catalog is extremely large, search and favorites are usually faster than repeatedly scrolling through every category. |
CHAPTER 11
Player Controls & Playback Engines
Planettivi includes two playback engines so you can choose the best compatibility for each stream.
| Engine | When to use it |
| MEDIA3 • ELITE | The normal first choice for standard live TV and general playback. It integrates directly with Planettivi playback and StreamGuard. |
| VLC Enhanced 8K | Useful as an alternate decoder for streams or files that do not behave well in Media3, including some unusual codecs or UHD content. |
Switch engines
| 1 | During playback, press a remote key to show the Planettivi HUD. |
| 2 | Move to the ENGINE button at the bottom center of the screen. |
| 3 | Press OK to switch to the alternate playback engine. |
| 4 | Give the new engine several seconds to initialize before deciding whether it is better for that stream. |
| WHAT “8K” MEANSVLC Enhanced 8K is the name of the playback engine. It does not convert a low-resolution source into 8K. Actual picture quality is determined by the source stream, codec, device and television. |
StreamGuard status
| Status | Meaning | Status | Meaning |

CHAPTER 12
Settings Explained
Settings lets you customize playback, language, media behavior and account access.

Language support
Planettivi includes a multilingual interface. English is the default language in the current build; you can switch to another available language from Settings > Language. The app rebuilds the visible interface so the new language takes effect immediately.
CHAPTER 13
Picture Quality & Stability
Good playback depends on the source, network, device decoder and player settings. Start with the simplest configuration and change one thing at a time.
Recommended baseline
Use Ethernet whenever possible. For Wi-Fi, prefer a strong 5 GHz connection.
Start with MEDIA3 • ELITE for normal live TV.
Keep Reconnection enabled and leave the default buffer settings in place initially.
Use VLC Enhanced 8K when a specific stream has compatibility, codec, black-screen or severe playback issues in Media3.
Close heavy background downloads or games on low-memory TV boxes.
Use Fit if the picture shape looks stretched.
Freeze vs. pixel blocks
A freeze means playback has stopped progressing. Large square pixel blocks (macroblocking) normally indicate missing/corrupted video data or decoder recovery after a damaged GOP. A larger buffer can help with network jitter, but it cannot reconstruct video data that never arrived correctly.

| Most channels freeze in Planettivi only | Switch ENGINE and compare. Also test Ethernet / 5 GHz Wi-Fi. |
| All apps freeze on the same channels | The source, provider path or local network is likely involved. |
| Large pixel blocks after a freeze | Switch engine and allow the stream to recover to a clean keyframe; compare with another channel. |
| Sound but no picture | Switch ENGINE; the stream codec may not be supported by the active decoder. |
CHAPTER 14
Updating Planettivi
Keep the application current so you receive the latest player fixes and interface improvements.
| 1 | Download the newest APK from the official Planettivi download link. |
| 2 | Open the APK on the same device. |
| 3 | Android should offer Update when the signature and package match the installed Planettivi app. |
| 4 | Install the update, then open Planettivi and confirm your license and IPTV profile are still recognized. |
| DO NOT REMOVE THE OLD APP FIRSTA normal in-place update is designed to preserve locally stored settings. Uninstalling before updating can remove the saved profile and other local data. |

CHAPTER 15
Troubleshooting
Use this chapter before changing multiple settings at once. The fastest diagnosis is to determine whether the problem affects the app, the device, the network or one specific stream.

CHAPTER 16
Privacy, Security & Responsible Use
Protect your credentials and use the application only with content you are authorized to access.
Your IPTV connection details are saved locally on the device so you do not have to enter them on every launch.
Never post your license key, IPTV username, IPTV password or Device ID in a public social-media post or screenshot.
Use only the official Planettivi APK download link supplied in this handbook.
Do not install modified copies from unknown websites or file-sharing sources.
Only connect Planettivi to services and media you are legally authorized to access in your location.
| BEFORE SELLING OR GIVING AWAY A DEVICERemove the IPTV profile and account information, or reset the device, before handing it to another person. |

Android TV / Google TV / Fire OS version if known.
Planettivi version.
Exact error message or a clear photo of the screen.
Whether the issue is Live, Movies, Series, EPG, license or login.
The exact channel/movie/episode name if one item is affected.
Which playback engine was active: MEDIA3 • ELITE or VLC Enhanced 8K.
Connection type: Ethernet, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
